Master Talk: Antonio Scarponi

Antonio Scarponi is an Italian architect and designer. He is the founder of the Zurich based office Conceptual Devices, a research and development practice for design, architecture and urban agriculture. He studied Architecture at Cooper Union, NY and at IUAV, Venice, from which he holds a Ph.D. in Urban Design. In 2008, he was awarded the Curry Stone Design Prize, awarding social design pioneers and in 2012 he was nominated for the Katerva Sustainability Award. Since 2012, he is an EU commission consultant for social sustainability. From 2006 to 2008, he taught «Communicative Spaces» and in 2009 «Reflective Design» at KTH, Stockholm; in 2009, he also taught at NABA, Milan.
