Serena Cangiano is responsible for FabLab SUPSI, the space dedicated to prototyping and open innovation at the intersection of design, creativity and technology of the design department of SUPSI Lugano. She is researcher and coordinator of MAS In Interaction Design SUPSI where she focuses on design for tech education and computational thinking. She worked as a consultant in EU funded projects at WeMake Milan, TODO Interaction Design Studio Turin and We Are Play Lab Foundation. In 2015, she completed a doctoral research at Iuav in Venice on open hardware and design practices and since 2016 she is involved in EU funded projects on Digital Social Innovation and P2P learning and knowledge. As a founder, she is currently working on the development of the product Ethafa, a kit to teach electronics and programming to kids.
