Master Talk: Joseph Popper & Felipe Castelblanco

Posted on April 24, 2018

«In 2018, we are aware more than ever that the news is not necessarily sought, found and documented in a purist reach for objective verité or essential truths. The news is designed.»

Stemming from this workshop topic at the Masterstudio Design Joseph Popper and Felipe Castelblanco will talk about their design and art practices.

Joseph Popper is a designer and artist who examines future narratives and simulated fictional experiences by transforming everyday objects and found locations into stages for playful and critical fictions.

Felipe Castelblanco is a multidisciplinary artist working at the intersection of socially engaged Media art. His work explores new frontiers of public space and enables coexistent encounters between unlikely audiences.

Both Popper and Castelblanco are PhD Candidates at the European Centre for Artistic, Design and Media-based research (ECAM) in Basel.
