Daisy

2018

von Lyne Revaz

The installation Daisy had the role of aperitif in the semester exhibition “celebration dinner”. Based on the Swiss food culture, the main goal of Daisy was changing the visitor’s behaviour towards the food. A saffron cream and rye biscuits were served on stands inspired by the actual Daisy flower and its poetic “loves me, loves me not”gesture. A fantastic world was created for the installation Daisy inside the textile structure of the exhibition. Visitors could follow a grass path through the differently sized flower stands, while eating the rye petals with the yellow dip. Daisy was meant to increase the visitor’s awareness towards artificiality, fakeness and trust. It questions our society replicating nature inside a room. Pictures by Lukas Kobel
