Very Very Far Away - Fabricating Futures

2016

von Samuele Tirendi

Workshop with Andrew Friend & Sitraka Rakotoniaina: Throughout the workshop we explored critical and speculative design processes, and the development of these theoretical exercises through to worked narratives, and tangible, accessible artefacts, experiences and environments communicating and engaging wider audiences with these possible futures.
In a nearby Future increasing pollution and climate change make our world loose its capacity to grow bio-mass. Our body with his PH-neutral environement is one of the few places, where micro-organisms and plants feel still comfortable to grow on. In a symbiotic relationship we offer the warm and moist soil to grow on while the green increases the oxygen content of the air which we can absorbe directly through the skin or with a specific tube system.
